Yes, it matters what you eat before and after the exercise or event, but it also matters what you eat at all other times too! Proper nutrition is super-important for athletes because it provides the energy required to perform the activity, and the nutrients needed to recover. If you fuel your body optimally, your body will perform optimally and recover quickly!
The types of food and the proportions of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins needed all vary depending on the type of sport you are in. In other words, a marathon runner will eat differently than a sprinter. A Crossfitter getting ready for a competition will eat differently than a powerlifter getting ready for a meet.
From a 14-year-old JV basketball player to a 65-year-old marathoner, we can help you figure out the right foods for your sport AND your bio-individuality so that you can be the healthiest and most effective athlete you can be!

This 12-week package is designed for athletes training for an upcoming event and who are in need of specific guidelines for their sport and extensive education on performance nutrition.
This plan includes an initial nutrition consultation & five 45-minute follow-up nutrition consultations (must be scheduled within 12 weeks – in-person or online, your choice) & 1 custom meal plan

Meet Coach Jo in person at Anytime Fitness in Jessup, Maryland to train for one hour 3 days per week for 4 weeks.
This package includes a one-on-one nutrition consultation for athletes preparing for a distance race (5k and beyond) and who want to learn how to fuel for their specific race and/or make a change to their dietary habits or body composition. It includes one nutrition consultation (in-person or virtual – your choice), and a custom nutrition plan.
This package is for athletes looking to make a change to their health, performance, and physiques through performance-based nutrition and strength training. In addition to 6 nutrition consultations. a customized online strength and conditioning program will be included to meet the needs of the athlete’s goals. It includes an initial nutrition consultation & five 45-minute follow-up nutrition consultations (must be scheduled within 12 weeks – in-person or online, your choice), one custom meal plan, & three 4-week custom strength training plans.
This package includes 3 personalized nutrition consultations for athletes who want to learn how to fuel for their specific sport or for those looking to make a change to their dietary habits or body composition. It includes an initial nutrition consultation (in-person or virtual – your choice) and 2 Follow-Up nutrition consultations.
